With over 15 years of experience, we are committed to making your event a truly wonderful occasion. Our event space is perfect for all types of celebrations, whether it’s a large graduation party or a small outing with friends. Our in-house coordinator, chefs and wait staff alleviate the pressure of planning and hosting your special event, allowing you to enjoy the company of those around you. Our Events Spaces
Brewery Ballroom
UNDER 100 guests
The Brewery Ballroom may be reserved for parties of 100 or fewer guests. This newly constructed room was designed and constructed by owner Paul Jacobs and staff. This German/English pub inspired room boasts over 2400 square feet of space and features custom dark stained oak wood throughout giving it a rustic yet elegant feel. Also, from this room you are able to peek into our Brew House and Finishing Tank Room where all the fine Von Jakob beer is brewed.
Winery Ballroom
OVER 100 guests
The Winery Ballroom is truly one of a kind. With over 5000 square feet of space, this room features a 60 foot long glass wall that overlooks our brick patio and decks. From there you are able to see out into our vineyard and orchard with the picturesque backdrop of the Shawnee National Forest. The views from here are some of the most beautiful of any southern Illinois winery. The Winery Ballroom is inspired by our German heritage as the design of the room is in a classic German Tudor style. Also featured in this room is large slate fireplace to warm you up during those colder months.
Weddings
Von Jakob Winery would be honored to host your Southern Illinois Wedding. No matter the time of year, Von Jakob is the perfect venue for your special event. Since 1997, we have coordinated more than 300 weddings, from the most casual of settings to very formal occasions. Our expert wedding coordinator works with you to ensure your wedding day is perfect. Choosing Von Jakob for your special day means you can expect the highest quality of class and professionalism.
Small Party Events – 50 or less guests
We host numerous smaller parties throughout the year and we would be thrilled to host your event. We categorize Small Private Parties into two types:
Small Reserved Area Party
Your party will be provided with a designated area where only your guests will be allowed. The general public is permitted to have access to the remaining undesignated areas of the room.
Small Private Party
Our Brewery Ballroom is available for private parties of 50 or less guests. In the event that our Brewery Ballroom is not available, our Barrel Tasting Room may be an option as well (please discuss with your party coordinator). Only your party will be allowed into the designated private room. A Small Private Party at Von Jakob consists of 50 or less guests.
- We offer Small Party Packets with a Dinner Menu, a Lunch Menu or a Hors d’oeuvres only Menu. Based on your preference please contact our event coordinator to view the appropriate Informational Party Packet.
Luncheons
Our Luncheon Events are a great way for larger groups to come out and enjoy a leisurely lunch with friends and family. Whether you are busing or carpooling to such an event, with parties of 10 or more guests we recommend contacting us ahead with your food order to ensure we have everything you need for smooth and easy outing. Luncheon events are held during our regular business hours. They are considered non-private events and as a result our tasting room and public areas remain open to the general public.
PRIVATE PARTIES
Von Jakob offers a beautiful setting for an amazing event. We offer two private banquet rooms, our Winery Ballroom and our Brewery Ballroom, to host your event. We are available for private parties of all sorts; corporate events, fundraisers, anniversaries, baby showers, engagement parties, reunions, birthday parties, private luncheons, university affiliated events, business workshops, art receptions and more.

Our Holiday Party Packet is released seasonally and will be available in the Fall.
